Today, I checked out some of your favorite blogs, and found many of the posts no longer exists.
Many bloggers last post said that they no longer needed to blog, as their illness was over or their depression was much better, or they spent too much time blogging, had gotten thru a divorce or a death....
But whatever their reason for stopping, they all were sad to leave you, and happy to have known you........Many of you gave them friendship at a crucial time in their lives...
They all called you friends, and named some you by your given name....
Some had a hard time expressing their feelings toward people they had met on line..People that cared about them, and prayed for them, and kept them in their hearts and minds during their difficult times............
But they all had in common the fact that You Were Their Friend..........

I love the weekends, and can't remember when they were not special. Even as an oldie they are still very special.........I do look forward to the weekends.......

I tend to reflect on my week, when the weekend approaches, and this weekend is no exception......

This past week, I have been blogging..... ...I have been entertained by some very talented people...I have to admit, I am better because of these people...... They have taken me to some beautiful places, and I have seen scenery I would never have dreamed of seeing.......I have read stories that made me cry, and think, and laugh, and that is GOOD......

Each day, I can't wait to read their new posts, or see their new pictures... Some are so great, I feel quite intimidated.......How Blessed I have been this past week..........It is GOOD when you find something that makes you feel humble...........

I ran to town today, and passed as I have done a million times, our Funeral Home, located in an old, old beautiful stately home.... As I do everytime I pass it, I checked to see if the Porch Lite was on.....If it is, that means someone has passed away, and are ready for viewing..........

Can you imagine a town, where people start their day, by asking "who died"? Depending of course, if the Porch Lite is on....

This got me to thinking...
Do people forget that someday the lite will come on for them?

Will they be ready when the Lite Comes on for them?

I am, but I am going to be cremated...so the lite will not come on for me.....

To an outsider, this has to be alittle strange.....

Hey Bubba, the lite is on at the Funeral Home....Who died?

Will you be ready when the lite comes on for you?

DO JUST ONE BRAVE THING TODAY.......AND THEN RUN LIKE HELL!

It just must be the time of the year, and the fact, I lost a dear, dear older friend, back in the late winter....who loved summertime........
After school was out, A bunch of us women use to go to Florida for a week.... (we all worked for the school system)
We'd Rent a condo.....on the beach; Buy breakfast food; and booze, and this friend would do all the cooking, plus was the camp counselor....
These ladies had been doing this for years...... You would never believe these women were such swingers.....Lord, I did'nt for sure, and they had taught my kids........
I was the sheltered newly divorced "let's get down girl" and my friend, along with seven others took it on themselves to help me get over my heartbreak.....And did they ever...
The fun we had, and the memories we made .... .....The kind we would warn our daughters about..........
My dear friend had been widowed for five years, and was just beginning to date. She confided in me, that she was dating our local dentist, that was quite a charmer, and had been a dear friend of her late husbands. Said she thought he might be the deal...
I really did'nt pay much attention to her until several weeks after we got back home, some girl friends and I went clubing, and there he was.........Seems he had arranged with several of my friends to find out when I would be there......To make a long story short, the next summer when my friends and I headed back to Florida, I was seeing this man only, and my friend seemed happy about it, but I wonder what she really thought of me.....She never let own she was hurt, and my new boyfriend (which 3 years later became my husband) said they were just friends, as he could never get serious with her. He could not compete against her late husband......
Eighteen years ago,
that first summer in Florida was Awesome.........and that beautiful friend made it that way...............

*She later became very close to an old highschool sweetheart, who had lost his wife, and had moved back here.......He died three months before she did............
