 My Neck of the Woods

We are surrounded by beautiful lakes and "Gods Country"....

You don't have to love to fish to enjoy the beauty of these Pine tree infested lakes! But the fishing is awesome.....

Camping, hiking, paddle wheels, cabins, lodges, B&B, swimming, boating and just plain rest and relaxation awaits the weary travelers.

Each Season is very special.

I love boating, and could spend all day just riding around.

People from Dallas/Ft Worth love our creatures!

It's funny how you take where you live for granite! Today I saw it like a stranger would! I'm thrilled I live here!

 30 Something/or having it all

My daughter (far right), and two of her eleven (30 something) friends, just got all dressed up in 1980 Prom like dresses, hit the night life in their fair city, left their babies with their hubbies, and celebrated the middle girls 35th birthday....

They take turns doing this, and look forward to girls night/weekend out..

They go to Bossier, Dallas and in between......Perhaps if I had done something like this, my marriage would not have fallen apart.....or perhaps it would have ended sooner. Who knows?

They are dolls. I Loved their dresses, and their make-up and just how women today act. I love their free spirit, and being goood mommies and wifes and career women. They amaze me....It just was not in me, I'm afraid.

They all have fabulous careers. Some were college roommates, and my daughters friend, (far left) is the same age as her brother...They just happened to met after fifteen years thru a friend of a friend. Her sister, was my daughters best friend all thru high school, and they have not talked in ten years.

Six live in Dallas/Ft Worth area, and truck here to our neck of the woods to see each other and visa versa..

I can't wait to see what the next outing will be.....

Until then, here is Popa and Baby Alex..... Today Popa is riding his mountain bike in a competition. He's a good man...... Personally, I would not leave this hunk any given night.......

 Vincent Van Gogh's Family Reunion

Caddo State Park, just down the road looks nice and cool these days...But don't be fooled...

The alligators, and the hanging moss, and All the Fried Fish you can hold will not help this heat wave any.

 Toooo Hot to Cook!

I guess I knew it was coming.

The heat and all the humidity,

It's just that I did'nt realize,

How hard it would hit me.........

I'm middle age, and crazy,

Trying to run up and down the roads,

It takes me hours to powder,

and then again.... off I go...

The stores, the market and the gas station.

The nursing Home, the Outreach and my friends.

By the time I get my car cooled off...Its time to stop again.

I water, and trim, and mow my yard,

My husband goes to Golf like work,

Our friends come over for burgers!

Sometimes, I think I am a jerk.....

Why cook outside, our house is so cool and neat,

And who really wants to chow down...

in all this Texas heat?

Let's just pass the homemade peach ice cream?

Forget the Burgers and Fries....

The BBQ, the Brisket, the steam,

and all those pesky flies..........

My back woods!

Texas Rose Moss....Grows everywhere!

Texas Crape Myrtle grow in reds, whites and pinks. I've got several of all, and enjoy their beauty....

This wet summer has made the mandavela show off.

And a Texas Sunset....

 Stay Young!!!

FIVE RULES FOR MEN TO FOLLOW TO A HAPPY LIFE:

1. It's important to have a woman, who helps at home, who cooks from time to time, cleans up and has a job.

2. It's important to have a woman, who can make you laugh.

3. It's important to have a woman, who you can trust and who doesn't lie to you.

4. It's important to have a woman, who is good in bed and who likes to be with you.

5. It's very, very, very important that these four women do not know each other.

**********************************************************************

Hope everyone is staying cool. Hope everyone is in love. Hope everyone is happy tonight........Hope everyone keeps their heart young......

Last Saturday night hubby and I went to see good Ol Ray Price, and tonight I'm with John Lennon. Yeah, I am alittle diverse would'nt you say?

We did have some wonderful singers/song writers in the 60's. They made my life so exciting and fun! I loved, and laughed and danced and cried alittle.... You youngun's are listening to them still.......My music....Um.....
