Hope everyone is staying cool, and feeling great!
I've taken June's advice and volunteering a couple days a week at our local nursing home, and a rescue mission, and believe you me.....When you get to feeling sorry for yourself......just get out there, and you will find out you do need purpose to get thru this ol cruel world we find ourselves in from time to time.....
I can't believe the change I feel, and the blessings I took for granite....
We are so fortunante to be able to communicate our feelings and vent our anger to each other. Everyone does not have that luxury, and feel so alone....
I'm so glad I have you guys! You make a big difference in my little corner of the world.....
Thanks, and I love you!
Heide
This is tooo good. Got it this am, and had to share!!! Reminds me of myself!!!
THE BEST POEM IN THE WORLD!
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
as I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
nor the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
who made me sputter and gasp--
the thieves, the liars, the sinners,
the alcoholics, the trash
There stood the kid from seventh grade
who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
was rotting away in hell,
was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, "What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.
"And why's everyone so quiet,
so somber? Give me a clue."
"Hush, child," said He, "they're all in shock.
No one thought they'd be seeing you."
Judge NOT.
