 Happy St. Patricks Day!!!!

Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place. Looking up to heaven he said, "Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up me Irish Whiskey!"

Miraculously, a parking place appeared.

Paddy looked up again and said, "Never mind, I found one."

Father Murphy walks into a pub in Donegal, and says to the first man he meets, "Do you want to go to heaven?"

The man said, "I do, Father."

The priest said, "Then stand over there against the wall."

Then the priest asked the second man, "Do you want to go to heaven?"

"Certainly, Father," was the man's reply.

"Then stand over there against the wall," said the priest.

Then Father Murphy walked up to O'Toole and said, "Do you want to go to heaven?"

O'Toole said, "No, I don't Father."

The priest said, "I don't believe this. You mean to tell me that when you die you don't want to go to heaven?"

O'Toole said, "Oh, when I die, yes. I thought you were getting a group together to go right now."

Paddy was in New York

He was patiently waiting and watching the traffic cop on a busy street crossing. The cop stopped the flow of traffic and shouted, "Okay, pedestrians." Then he'd allow the traffic to pass.

He'd done this several times, and Paddy still stood on the sidewalk.

After the cop had shouted, "Pedestrians!" for the tenth time, Paddy went over to him and said, "Is it not about time ye let the Catholics across?"

Gallagher opened the morning newspaper and was dumbfounded to read in the obituary column that he had died. He quickly phoned his best friend, Finney.

"Did you see the paper?" asked Gallagher. "They say I died!!"

"Yes, I saw it!" replied Finney. "Where are ye callin' from?"

An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut . The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.

He says, "Sir, have you been drinking?"

"Just water," says the priest.

The trooper says, "Then why do I smell wine?"

The priest looks at the bottle and says, "Good Lord! He's done it again!"

Walking into the bar, Mike said to Charlie the bartender, "Pour me a stiff one - just had another fight with the little woman."

"Oh yeah?" said Charlie, "And how did this one end?"

"When it was over," Mike replied, "She came to me on her hands and knees.

"Really," said Charles, "Now that's a switch! What did she say?"

She said, "Come out from under the bed, you little chicken."

Flynn staggered home very late after another evening with his drinking buddy, Paddy. He took off his shoes to avoid waking his wife, Mary.

He tiptoed as quietly as he could toward the stairs leading to their upstairs bedroom, but misjudged the bottom step. As he caught himself by grabbing the banister, his body swung around and he landed heavily on his rump. A whiskey bottle in each back pocket broke and made the landing especially painful.

Managing not to yell, Flynn sprung up, pulled down his pants, and looked in the hall mirror to see that his butt cheeks were cut and bleeding. He managed to quietly find a full box of Band-Aids and began putting a Band-Aid as best he could on each place he saw blood.

He then hid the now almost empty Band-Aid box and shuffled and stumbled his way to bed.

In the morning, Flynn woke up with searing pain in both his head and butt and Mary staring at him from across the room.

She said, "You were drunk again last night weren't you?"

Flynn said, "Why you say such a mean thing?"

"Well," Mary said, "it could be the open front door, it could be the broken glass at the bottom of the stairs, it could be the drops of blood trailing through the house, it could be your bloodshot eyes, but mostly.....it's all those Band-Aids stuck on the hall mirror.

I must dedicate these little Irish jokes to my Dear Granddad McCormick.....He had the most beautiful blue Irish eyes in all the world.....

 Forever Young

I lost another high school friend. My Bro called me this past week to tell me that Martie Honeycutt Morris passed away.

She had lived 35 years in California, and had moved back to our hometown five years ago. I had not seen her since graduation in l963! Yeah! 1963.

One of her daughters live next door to my Moms. She was named after me.

We grew up together...We double dated, and spent nights at each others houses. She sat in front of me in study hall. She loved to party, and was a hoot...

She lost a son several years ago, and I'm rejoicing that she is now with him... His death was tragic, and that is when they moved back to Texas.

She is part of my childhood, and I'll always remember her
Forever Young....

#1.
My sister in law, Karen, has been in remission since before Christmas. She just got back from Little Rock, and there is NO cancer. Starting her meds again for remission. Doing one at a time, as she almost died at Scott and White in February from the combination of the three. She has had three stem cells. She is awesome, and she is my hero!!

#2.
My 96 year old Mom, Helen, lives alone and cooks for the elderly. My brother and I wanted her to try Home Health Care again, as she worries us being alone. My brother, Mike and sister in law, Karen stopped by yesterday on their way for blood work, and my Mom asked, my brother, "Now tell me again why I have to have someone come to my house?"....My brother answered, "Mom if you don't know, it will not do me any good trying to tell you". She is sulling because they ARE coming... My Mom is 96 and in full charge of her life. She cooked for the last Home Health People, and they turned her in......

#3.
My husband, Doctor Bud Daddy suffers from Atrial Fibulation, and takes a blood thinner. He also has angina. His heart rate can go crazy...He golfs daily, and works in our five acre yard like a youngun, and never complains. I am thankful for every day I have with him. I hope he feels the same. He is my life! I know when he is hurting, and it is scary.

#4.
I suffer from glocoma and had laser surgery Tuesday to relieve the pressure, as my meds are no longer working. I've had this for 19 years, and have used every drop you can imagine. They only did my right eye, and I go back for the left later. My right eye is much better, and there is no watering anymore. I am so thankful the laser is working. My right eye feels so much better already...

#5.
My baby girl will be 36 Thursday, March 15th, and we will all get together for her birthday dinner. This is something we have always done. I will get to see my grandson too, and my beautiful son in law. I am excited, and very blessed.

 Trust!

When I was young I loved a man very much. I trusted him with my life, my happiness, my well-being. He provided for us not in wealth, but in ways that really mattered.

My life was perfect. We did'nt have alot of money, but we did'nt need it.

My children were strong and healthy and smart and beautiful.

We had a Church and a wonderful Church Family, and we never missed going any time the doors were opened.

Our home, we built and it was perfect for raising a family. A pond, and a tree house, and a barn and acres to roam.

One day I woke up and discovered my life was not perfect. I had been deceived by someone I trusted, and loved, and admired and respected.

We lost our home, and I took three more jobs, and my kids and I were left on our own.

We played like we were on an adventure, and each day would bring something new to our lives.

All they wanted was me, and all I wanted was him.

And then the man that had always been there for me, that had always loved me, and taken care of me. The man that loved me unconditionally, and would never let me down reminded me of his words
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God", Romans 8:28 and "If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 9:31

In all my dispair and broken heartedness, I had continued to hear Gods word, but not fully take in the extent of his love. From then on, He was the first man in my life. He was the man I depended on for all my needs. My son came in second......

It is God I trust no matter what the situation. He will never leave me nor forsake me. He is with me 24/7.

God gave me another man to love. Over the years He has helped me mend my broken heart, and forgive.
