Funny how just this time last year we were awaiting the arrival of this precious baby boy.
Time has flown, and I have enjoyed watching my daughter and her husband become completely mesmerized by this toothless wonder. He is almost a year, and still no sign of a tooth. My husband is a retired dentist, and he keeps telling me, Granddaddy will make that boy some dentures. I'm beginning to worry, but his parents are fine with it.
Jana said last night he was like a 21 year old. Woke them up partying, and laughing and jumping and babbling away. They just don't know the half of it, do they?
We have been blessed so much this past year.
My sister in law went thru another (3) stem cell and several rounds of chemo successfully, and is again cancer free. Please pray they find the correct meds for her to stay in remission this time. Using two experiemental drugs, and another that has been on the market a year.
My husband has not had a good year, medical wise. He has a heart condition that keeps me on pins and needles, but he keeps on keeping on. Golf four days a week at least. He has about 12 friends his age, that play regardless of the conditions. They all have medical problems, but seem to do better when they are together. I pray he has a better 2007. I really need him around!!!
My 96 year old Mom seems to be the most healthy in my family. She is still going strong. We will travel to her home for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dinner. She is like a kid when it comes to Christmas.
She will start cooking her date loaf, divinity, and fudge this week. Pies after that, and then the Turkey n dressing, ham and all of the other stuff heart patients really need. She just loves to entertain.
My husbands son and fam will drive in thursday before Christmas and visit with us and his wifes family and go back to Arkansas in time for Santa to come to our precious granddaughters house.
Sometimes in there I will see my daughter and her hubby and little Alex on our way to my Moms, and then catch them again on our way back home. Whew!!!! And we Thought when you got older, everyone came to your house. Well, as long as my Mom is alive, we'll go to her house. Period!
My son will celebrate with his wife in Brooklyn... Thank goodness for email and the phone service. We'll have a nice visit with them, as they will call my Moms house Christmas Day. Not the same, but hey, he could be in Iraq!!!
I do have alot to be thankful for!
God Bless each of you and those you love this Christmas Season!!!!
