Hubby and I are hosting the annual "Friends 4th of July" Party this year! We will have it on Saturday.
*We always have a wonderful time, and we've been doing this for about 18 years. We have friends who have lived here and moved away that come back for the 4th weekend...... Plus the eight or ten couples we love that stayed. We'll have fourteen to eighteen people in and out all day until the late, late evening.
*Alot of friends have changed over these years, and some have passed away and some have really bad health issues, but getting together once again, makes everything alright.
*We start with an early breakfast buffet and then spend most of the morning outside playing games and just getting caught up! We'll grill that night. Hubby thinks fajitas sound good with alot of guacomole and salsa. It is easy to do!
* I'll set up game tables thru out the den and living room for dominoes and checkers and 42 and bridge. (I don't play bridge)! The men usually sit outside under the shade trees and visit or play horse shoes! Then come in and challenge us with some games of 42!
* I have VBS Monday-Thursday, so I'll be getting the house in order and the yard in the afternoons for the gang on Saturday.
* My summer is going fast. Seems like it has been summer here for well over two months. Hope you all are enjoying yourself, and please don't forget to stop and smell the roses! Heide
