Thank you my blogger inmates for all the nice comments you left on my post while I went to my Moms 96th Birthday Party, and family reunion....
Took my Mom to get her flu shot, and out to eat friday evening. She had some errands for me to run. She seemed to enjoy that...
She was in full control, and just got onto me twelve times. I either talk too much or wear the wrong thing, or pay more attention to Aunt Madilene more than her. My voice carries, and she is hard of hearing, and I really think that I do get on her nerves.....I try not too, but apparently not enough.....
My daughter is my side kick, and I can look at her and get strength. She's seen this for 35 years, and really thinks I need counceling, but I don't think counceling can help me to ignore it.
Six cousins and their spouses, my 94 year old Aunt, my daughter, her husband, and Alex, my Bro. his son and daughter and my husband were there....
I cleaned her house thursday night and friday. She has lived in her house for 58 years, and loves it so much....
I cooked baked beans, cole slaw and potatoe salad, and my Bro. brought the barbeque beef and pork steaks. Ummmmm!!!
I had two beautiful cakes made for her, and my daughter and I had pictures made for her, plus money, as she loves QVC........
My sister in law could not get out in crowds, so she could not come, and it was a sad time, as she has hosted it for the past 16 years...We missed her, and I spent Sat morning with her, and that is another story...
My Mom was in heaven, and enjoyed all the people coming to her house.
My Aunt and cousins, and brother were especially kind to me, and always say she is not going to change, and I'm being what God would want me to be.
My precious Bro. and his beautiful children went thru the motions of the party. Bro. cried when people would come and hug him, and tell him they were thinking of him and his wife......
As tears are running down my cheeks, (she just announced I must have been mixed up at birth, as no one in our family was like me) I try to be more quiter and lady like, and not talk too loud or laugh too hard, I look at my grandson who smiles at me, and thank God for all of my Blessings...... And you guys are one of those blessings. Thanks...God Bless!!! And please remember my Sister In Law!!! She went back to Little Rock this morning.......
